Court Orders Mustafa Ali To Pay Felda RM130,000 For Defamation @PapaGomo @FeldaVoice @nikabdulaziz @DPPMalaysia

The High Court here ordered PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali and four others to pay Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) RM130,000 in damages in a defamation suit, for alleging it had sold palm oil to Israel.

However, Felda lost its case against Persatuan Anak Peneroka Felda Kebangsaan (Anak) president Mazlan Aliman.

Felda said Mazlan had posted a picture of an invoice in his Facebook account on Nov 19,2012, which implied that it had sold crude palm oil to Israel.

It said Mazlan had made a defamatory statement in front of its office in November 2012, which was published in party mouthpiece Harakah Daily dated Nov 26-29 and Suara Keadilan dated Nov 27.

It named Mazlan, PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali, Harakah chief editor Ahmad Lutfi Othman, editor Taufek Yahya, writer Mohd Arif Atan, printer Angkatan Edaran Ent Sdn Bhd and PKR secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail as defendants in the civil suit.

However, Saifuddin had recently reached a consent judgment over the civil dispute.

KL High Court Judicial Commissioner Lee Heng Cheong made the ruling after hearing evidence from witnesses.
